THE NEED FOR SALVATION
In Genesis Chapter One God spoke the Word and all that was not appeared and earth was created perfect and all that was in it and the Lord God, said that it is "good." In Genesis Chapter 2 we have the creation of man. Then the Lord created man in His image and put him in the Garden of Eden and made him a mate from a rib that the Lord took from the mans side. She became bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. She was created to be his help mate. She was made for the man to be a blessing to him and to be a part in the replenishing of the earth. The Lord God wanted a family in the earth to love Him and fellowship with Him. We were created for His pleasure. (Rev 4:11) In Genesis 3, Sin entered the Garden of Eden, in the form of a serpent. His name was Satan. He positioned himself in a tree. He is known as the person of sin. He has a body (a spiritual body) and he speaks. The tree was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. A tree that God had told the man not to partake of in Genesis 2:17. In other words, the man and the woman were not to eat of that tree. God said, "the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die. There were other trees in that garden and they were permitted to eat of any of the other trees. The serpent said to Eve, " You will not surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. So when she saw that the fruit of this tree was good for food, pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate and gave also to her husband with her and he ate." (Everything that looks good, taste good, and would make one wise, may not be good for us.) They had disobeyed God, and they fell from glory into a sinful state. They became "self" conscious and were no longer God conscious. Sin had now entered this paradise that the Lord had put them in. To keep them from taking fruit from the Tree of Life, and thus stay in a state of evil for all eternity, (and since we were all in Adams loins, all of us could have been trapped in eternal sin had not God protected the Tree of Life at that time.) God placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the Tree of Life, and drove them from the garden. From that day man was destined to eat by the toil of his hands and the sweat of his face all the days of his life. The woman was to suffer sorrow and in pain in her conception and bring forth children and her desire would be for her husband. Because the woman was deceived , God said, that her husband would rule over her. She still wants that rule for herself today. Eve took it upon herself to accept what Satan said, without checking with her husband. But of course he was there with her and could have spoken, but did not. For whatever reason, he knowing full well what God had said, he accepted the fruit from Eve and they both were separated from God spiritually. They had lost their covering of Glory. Death happened in the spirit, and they died to the connection to the Lord God, and the flesh is now in a state of deterioration from that moment on and the flesh would also die eventually.
From this moment on the sin of Adam and Eve was forever in the blood line and all will inherit the sin nature because of Adam and Eve's transgression. We are all descendants of the first creation and sin travels down through the blood line. As life is in the blood, so also is death in the blood. The word transgression means: A violation of law, commandment or duty. To exceed due bounds and limits. So, what then is to happen to us all. For Romans 3:23 tells us that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." But 2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
